Books and Maps

Here are some recommended books, but do have a look at the wider list in the Bookstore.

Loipe maps are usually avilable locally, but if you want to check out an area in advance, try searching online for piste maps. Whilst these are usually for alpine skiers, they do sometimes show the cross country trails.

IGN   IGN have produced a couple of maps in the Plein-Air series especially for cross country skiers (82058 Massif du Jura N°1; 82059 Massif du Jura N°2). These show all the prepared pistes in the area covered and give useful contact numbers. Scale 1:50,000.
