Log cabin for rent: Akaslompolo, Finland

A luxury log cabin for rent in a quiet location in the village of Akaslompolo close to the Yllas ski resort. The area is best known for the 350km of cross country tracks which pass within 400m of the cabin but it also has the largest downhill ski area in the country. Being north of the Arctic Circle means that the cross country ski season lasts from December through the end of April with excellent snow and a wide variety of prepared tracks to suit all levels. Visit www.ylass.fi  for more information on the area. It really is a winter wonderland!

The cabin is located about 100m from the Yllas Kaltio hotel which is a stop for the scheduled bus service from the local airport and train station. It is a traditional kelo log cabin and was completed in 2008. It is very well finished and equipped and sleeps 6 in 2 twin bedrooms plus 2 single beds on the mezzanine floor. It also has:
